Pace Chart for the 2017 New York City Marathon Guaranteed Entry Qualifying Times

Boston isn't the only marathon with a qualifying standard, the New York City Marathon has its own qualification standard and in most cases it's actually more competitive than Boston's (to be clear, there are other ways to get into the New York City Marathon). Runners who attain the New York City Marathon qualifying standard in calendar year at certain NYRR races are eligible for guaranteed entry in the following year's New York City Marathon.
